Central Coast ABA's mission is to improve the quality of life of special needs individuals and their families by utilizing scientific, evidence-based strategies to shape behavior, teach daily living skills, and establish meaningful social interactions. We are a team of specialized behavior professionals who work to achieve the optimal health of all of our patients.

WHAT IS ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis uses science to shape behavior and promote learning.  ABA intervention is the only scientifically proven therapy used to treat individuals diagnosed with autism. 

HOW DOES ABA WORK?

Applied Behavior Analysis uses 27 clinically proven strategies to treat autism.  One of the strategies most commonly used is reinforcement to improve difficult behavior and strengthen positive behavior.

ABA THERAPIES CAN HELP WITH:

  • Reducing problem behaviors (e.g., tantrums, aggression, etc.)
  • Increasing positive behaviors
  • Increasing communication and language skills
  • Promoting meaningful social interactions
  • Daily living skills (e.g., brushing teeth, showering, chores, etc.)
  • Community skills (e.g., making purchases, utilizing public transportation, street safety skills, etc.)
